The project was created to capture the form of flamenco dancers remotely, using their cellphones and internet connection. The title of the project, ‘Raices y Flamencas’, was chosen to symbolize the connection between all artists, as well as the photographer’s own roots, since he is originally from Spain - the country where flamenco was born. The project It’s a reminder that artistry and flamenco can be done in unexpected places and that creativity and expression can continue in the midst of a pandemic or any other problematic situation.
